There’s nothing quite like sitting in a café looking out onto a harbour with a coffee (or a glass of rosé!) and watching the world go by. I’ve spent many an hour doing just that. And all along the coast of Provence and the Côte d’Azur you’ll find a variety of ports – from the working ports of Marseille and Toulon to the glamour of resorts like Cannes, Antibes and Menton in the east with their luxury yachts. Or there are a host of more intimate and picturesque harbours such as Bandol, Cassis and Sanary. And of course, if you’re prepared for the hassle of finding somewhere to park in the car park, there’s always St Tropez!
